What is a Straw-Buddy?

Straw-Buddies are a berry sweet twist on the little/big sister tradition for alumnae - two randomly paired ZTAs from different eras who will be matched up before the reunion to bond, share stories, and explore the weekend together. This is your chance to break out of your usual friend circle and discover a new sister from another era in Theta Alpha history!

 

How Does It Work?

• Everyone who registers for the reunion will be assigned a Straw-Buddy from a different era.

• Two weeks before the reunion, after registration ends, you’ll receive your Straw-Buddy’s contact information so you can reach out and start to connect.

  • Note: Pairings will be listed on this page, but contact info for each Straw-Buddy will only be available in your email. 

• Throughout the weekend, the reunion committee will post berry fun Straw-Buddy challenges to help you stay connected (and earn some social media worthy moments too!).

• Expect special recognition for our Straw-Buddies at reunion events—including a group photo with our photographer and social media shoutouts!

• After the reunion weekend, the reunion committee will send out a short survey to hear what you loved about the pilot program or how we can make it better next time.

Whether you grab a coffee together, take a selfie on campus, sit together at the luncheon or swap stories at the Friday Night event, your Straw-Buddy is here to make your reunion experience even more special! So, get ready to mix, mingle, and make memories, because Theta Alpha is forever!
